Crochet Your Own Amigurumi Egg

Have you ever wanted to crochet your own amigurumi egg? Well, you're in luck! I recently made an adorable egg-shaped toy using simple crochet stitches and stuffing. And the best part? I recorded the whole process in a video tutorial that I'm excited to share with you. In this blog post, I'll walk you through the materials and pattern I used, show off my finished amigurumi egg, and share the video tutorial. Let's get started!

Materials:

As always we need to start with our materials. First you're going to need some white yarn I used Big Twist value from Joanne's. Then you're gonna need a crochet hook to go with your yarn. I used a 4 mm  for this, because it is amigurumi the yarn wrapper says to use a five millimeter hook for this yarn.  I read somewhere or heard somewhere or saw somewhere to go one down go a millimeter down or hook size down for your amigurumi so it'll be just a little bit tighter.  But you could use whatever you want I'm not going to judge you and you know the gauge just depends on how you want your little egg to look.  You're gonna need Stitch markers, a darning needle, some scissors, and if you want to put the little face on it like I did, I usee 12 millimeter safety eyes and a little bit of black yarn for the eyelashes and the little mouth.  And don't forget your stuffing... you gotta have stuffing!

My Pattern:

Please go watch my YouTube video for the pattern if you need visuals.  I free-handed this pattern, but I did remember to write it down as I went! So what I wrote was:
